BIO Khristine Jones:  Founder of Yoga Punx

Yoga has been a part of Khristine’s life for over 11 years, and the practice has helped her grow stronger, more flexible, and fearless – both on and off the mat.  Yoga inspires her to live in the moment and more mindfully and aware.  She believes that through this awareness we get to see ourselves more clearly.  She is eternally grateful for the refuge of the practice.

Khristine, a former social worker, found yoga as a way of self care and through this journey, the holistic nature of he practice transformed her life in every way and let her to teaching for the past 6.5 years.  Khristine is an Ashtanga and Vinyasa teacher and is the founder of “Yoga Punx,” started in San Francisco, and is now an international collective.

Khrsitine creates a safe space that is supportive and welcoming and where you can be yourself.  SO much love and gratitude for her teachers near and far:  Sharath Jois, Deborah Sacks, and Stephanie Snyder.

Join Khristine Jones for a weekend immersion, ALL LEVELS /NO LEVELS workshops exploring Arm Balances & Inversions as well as a Su day Sadhana (meditation, pranayama and vinyasa).

Saturday, March 18th 1:00PM – 3:30 PM:  Arm Balances and Inversions

Arm balances can be empowering, and teach us not only about our inner strength, but about playfulness, courage, and our ability to create lightness and space.  We will work on developing the necessary strength and flexibility to practice these postures.  We’ll learn the essentials to have you soaring into postures such as Bakasana (crow), flying pigeon, side crow, firefly, forearm balance, and more.

This is a 2.5 hour workshop that explores the foundations of arm balancing, and gives you tips and tricks to get your wings open and your body off the ground.   ALL LEVELS WELCOME!

Sunday, March 19th, 2017  2:00PM – 4:00PM:  Sunday Sadhana

We will move through a well-rounded practice with chanting, pranayama (breathwork), asana (postures), and meditation.  There will be an opportunity to practice some arm balance and transitions from Saturday.  ALL LEVELS WELCOME!
