Living like it's your last moment
There are foundations for this practice: first being the breath, no matter the shape of the body, the breath remains constant and controlled. The second being bandha: energetic and physical locks with in the body that bring a more efficient and intelligent way to move the body. The third being drishti: a controlled and fixed point for the gaze. With these 3 foundational concepts practiced regularly the physical aspect of the practice transforms, the mental state slows and quiets, finally the emotional state finds ease and begins to settle.
All things take time and within this practice of yoga the more you show up, the more you will discover.....All is coming.

Elumen Yoga is a integrated system of practicing Hatha Yoga. It combines key elements of Ashtanga and Iyengar Yoga into a single practice style. From Ashtanga Yoga you focus on the elements of vinyasa, breath, drishti, bandha, mudra, and the sushumna nadi. Also the repetition of practicing specifically designed sequences. From Iyengar Yoga you focus on the elements of postural alignment, the use of props, and holding poses for a specific length of time in proper inner and outer alignment to reap the full benefits of each poes. From Mahkah’s own calculations he has gathered together the most powerful healing poses that B.K.S. Iyengar has recommended to assist in one's personal healing and growth. These specific poses are what create the Elumen Yoga sequences. There are a total of 6 specifically designed sequences. 3 main series and 3 shorter series. There is the Level 1 Primary Series, Level 2 Intermediate Series, Level 3 Advanced Series, and then three shorter even more specifically designed sequences. This practice is created to be accessible to all people of all walks of life. No matter what age, condition, or state your body is in, you can practice and benefit from Elumen Yoga. Ashtanga and Iyengar Yoga complement each other greatly. I have found that when one applies these potent key elements from each individual system into a single practice system that the outcome is astronomical. Be on the lookout for Mahkah’s new Elumen Yoga guidebook available soon for much more information.

Throughout the past ten years of studying and teaching yoga, Gina has found her true passion in studying the Hindu deities, mantra, and yoga philosophy. In her six teacher trainings that she co-directed from 2016-2017, she brought her integration of all of these areas of study and practice to the table, much to the delight of her students. There is so much power to be had in the unleashing of the voice through chanting mantra--practitioners are able to transcend their own perceived sense of boundaries and fine-tune their own connection to their inner voice and thusly their truth. With the storytelling element layered into this practice of chanting, we get to know who we're chanting to and the kind of energies we're calling in. We also remember that all of these forms of the Divine are mere reflections of all aspects of ourselves. When we have context for why we do what we do, it inevitably becomes more powerful and potent.
Above all else, Gina is about infusing her teaching and sharing spaces with alove and consciousness that dissolves separation and allows for all beings to remember who they really are as they expand their minds and fill their hearts with what they seek.
We all deserve to move joyfully, have a healthy relationship with our inner voice and body trust. Body Celebration is a class offered to celebrate our unique bodies, genders, races, and abilities. In this class we will support ourselves with prop’s, try alternative poses if what is offered doesn’t work in your body and take time in poses to really experiment and experience how they feel. The topics talked about in class are based on HAES principles and how they relate to yogic practices. The goal of the class is to explore our inner workings, be embodied and empowered by how amazing our bodies are. The class will being with simple breathing techniques build into mindful movement and then a nourishing restorative practice at the end.
